The purpose of a newsletter is an opportunity for the ASWi team to provide you and the rest of our clients with information on all the new ASWi and Acumatica related things (or “happenings”) that you may not otherwise be aware of.

From scissors to knives, from can openers to cork screws, Left Handers (also sometimes called Southpaws) can be the brunt of jokes all year long due to their unique hand dominance.

But this is the day to ignore all of that and bring awareness to all of those right handed folks around the globe in celebration of Left Handers Day. After all, as the old saying goes: right handed people operate on the left side of the brain, which means that left handed people are functioning on the right side. Therefore, only the 10% of the population who are left handed are in their right mind!

For those who are left handed, today is the day to celebrate and enjoy. Wear a left-handers t-shirt or make a proud post on social media. Embrace this special quality and show that pride in being left handed. Those who aren’t left handed can contact those friends and family members who are left handed and let them know how much they are appreciated for their contributions to the world. Take them to lunch or coffee and offer to try eating with the opposite hand to see what it’s like.

Mom: How do you like your new gloves?
Dad: They’re both left-handed; one is great but the other is just not right.

Dad: How did it go dating your ex-girlfriend’s sister, son?
Son: Well, I’m not great using my left-hand.

Did you know Matthew McConaughey is left-handed? Just kidding, he’s all right, all right, all right.

Left-handed people must not eat as much as right-handed people, otherwise right-overs would be a word.

Is a left-handed author called a lefter?

My friend stirs her tea with her left hand, but I prefer to use a spoon.

The 2022R1 release of Acumatica Cloud ERP is scheduled to be retired on November 30, 2023.

Acumatica subscribers on the 2022R1 release of Acumatica Cloud ERP will receive two emails directly from Acumatica before the retirement date.

The first email will be sent on September 25th to inform the Acumatica subscriber about the retirement of the 2022R1 release.

It will then be followed by a reminder email on October 1st if the Acumatica subscriber has not yet upgraded to a newer release. On December 1, Acumatica subscribers remaining on the retired release will be notified that the 2022R1 release is officially retired.

Acumatica is constantly innovating, each year bundling several enhancements into two major releases. In addition to the major releases, Acumatica delivers regular minor updates (typically every 2-8 weeks) which primarily contain high severity fixes and changes that do not disrupt existing customizations or integrations.

Acumatica uses a standardized process for delivering major releases and minor updates. These software updates are automated and required for customers on the Always Current program. Customers not on the Always Current Program should plan to upgrade at least once a year to get the latest features,
minimize technology debt, and ensure their version does not reach its retirement date.

With each new major release, Acumatica announces the support period for the release along with its expected retirement date. In most cases, each major release is supported for a period of 20 months before the release is retired.

Acumatica Version Numbers
Version: 22.102.0051
Major Release: 22.1 identifies the year and number of each major release. The second major release in 2022 was 22.2.

Update Number: 02 identifies the update. Updates include non- breaking changes and fixes between major releases.

Build Number: 0051 identifies the build number. The build resets with each major release. For each update there is 1 accepted build.
