The purpose of a newsletter is an opportunity for the ASWi team to provide you and the rest of our clients with information on all the new ASWi and Acumatica related things (or “happenings”) that you may not otherwise be aware of.

Happy National Cuddle Up Day

Each year on January 6th, National Cuddle Up Day encourages us to snuggle up with someone for the health benefits and more! January typically has some of the coldest days of the year, so what better way to stay warm and reap the health benefits of cuddling on National Cuddle Up Day? Whether it’s a three-dog night (a night so cold it takes three dogs to cuddle up with to stay warm) or only slightly chilly, there are multiple benefits to cuddling with a human or canine, or other pet.

Cuddling releases oxytocin. This hormone alone has tremendous health benefits. Besides giving us warm and fuzzy feelings, oxytocin reduces pain. So when the cold has made those muscles and joints ache, cuddling can help reduce those aches and pains.

Oxytocin also helps reduce heart disease, lowers blood pressure, stress, and anxiety. Cuddling also releases dopamine, which can improve memory and focus as well.

Dad: Your mom cuddled up to me and whispered “Be my Han Solo.”, so I replied “Sure thing, Chewie.” and now she’s not talking to me.

Q: Why did the teddy bear put a ladder on his couch?
A: Because he wanted to cuddle on a higher level.

Q: Why did the cactus turn down a cuddle?
A: He was in a prickly mood.

Q: Why did the pillow turn down a cuddle from the blanket?
A: The blanket was becoming too clingy.

ASWi | Booth #51510 at SHOT SHOW | Jan 22-23

ASWi will be making our 3rd annual appearance at the NSSF SHOT SHOW, which is Las Vegas January 23 – 26, 2024. For the 2nd annual time, we will be in the SHOT Week Supplier Showcase, manning Booth #51510 from January 22nd through January 23rd.

The SHOT Show, which is an acronym for “Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show”, is an annual trade show for the shooting sports, hunting, outdoor recreation, and firearm manufacturing industries. Sales 101 | 3 New Year’s Resolutions for Improved Sales

2024 is already upon us. What are your plans to make this your best year in sales ever? Here are three things I did all those years ago that changed my
sales career, and my life, forever:

#1) For the first ninety days in 2024 make a commitment to listening to at least ONE call a day.

Listen for three things:
– What you did well, do more of that!
– What didn’t go well.
– Ways you can change what didn’t go well (script out a better response) and then use that on your very next call.

If you follow this simple strategy, you’ll improve every single day. And that will change your career—and your results.

#2) Set a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goal. Write it down. Begin visualizing how earning all that additional income will impact your – and your family’s – lives. Invest in books/ audios/YouTube videos that teach you The Law of Attraction, and begin changing your consciousness.

If you don’t change the inside, then the outside won’t change.

#3) Invest in, study, & use scripts from the resources above. When I invested in CDs on better sales techniques years ago, a huge lightbulb came on and my career really took off. Do yourself a favor: study and learn how to get better.

Remember, if nothing changes, then nothing changes. I hope this has inspired you to invest the time, energy, and a little bit of money into yourself and your career. Believe me, you’ll forever thank yourself that you did.

DSWi COO Named IAMCP Americas Vice President

Congratulations to AJ Ansari, the Chief Operating Officer of ASWi’s sister company ASWi, for recently being named the Vice President of the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP) Americas.

IAMCP is the largest Microsoft partner group in the world and is made up of 1,790 companies worldwide. It is organized into 3 global regions: Americas, EMEA, and APAC).

AJ has been the IAMCP Houston Chapter President since 2016, which he will vacate to assume his new role.
