National Donut Day
“Donuts. Is there anything they can’t do?” Homer Simpson
There’s something about donuts that brings a smile to everyone’s face.
The history of the doughnut isn’t clearly known, but what is known is that their iconic look started making an appearance in the United States in the mid-19th century.
To celebrate National Donut Day share a baker’s dozen with your family, friends, team, and/or loved ones.
About the picture: At Round Rock Donuts you will always leave away happy whether you get the traditional-sized or Texas-sized donuts.

Acumatica User Tip | User’s Time Zone
By Tim Rodman, AUGForums.com
Add this field to a Grid to get Acumatica to take into account the user’s time zone. For example, on the Purchase Orders screen with the Promised Date.
If you would like to know more about this user tip, please let our Customer Success Manager Keith Wood know by emailing him at keithw@aswius.com or call him at (717) 581-1226.
Acumatica User Tip | Archiving
Starting with release 2023 R1, Acumatica Cloud ERP now has an archiving feature that is designed to increase system performance.
This feature, currently limited to Sales Orders and Shipments, allows users to manually, or as a scheduled process, set documents as “Archived” in the system according to a configured time horizon.
Using this feature will tag the documents as “Archived” without deleting them from the database. Archived documents are not included in the results of database queries, such as opening generic inquiries, lookup tables, and tabs that load a list of records. As a result, data retrieval performance improves.
If you would like to know more about this user tip, please let our Customer Success Manager Keith Wood know by emailing him at keithw@aswius.com or call him at (717) 581-1226.
BigCommerce | Forrester Wave Strong Performer
BigCommerce, the premier ecommerce platform, was named a “Strong Performer” by Forrester Research in the newly-released report “The Forrester Wave B2C Commerce Solutions, Q2 2024.”
In BigCommerce’s vendor profile, it states that “BigCommerce is a best fit for businesses that have strategies best served by the functionality included in the BigCommerce solution and that value usability and pre-integrated partner solutions.”
If you would like to know more about BigCommerce, please let our Customer Success Manager Keith Wood know by emailing him at keithw@aswius.com or call him at (717) 581-1226.
Note: Microsoft is Not Responsible For Your 365 Data
Over one million businesses rely on Microsoft 365 for email, virtual meetings, file-sharing, and team collaboration. What many businesses don’t know is that Microsoft doesn’t provide complete data protection against common data loss issues.
Microsoft does have some native recovery and retention capabilities, and includes built-in data replication, but this is not a data backup. To quote Microsoft’s website “You’re responsible for protecting the security of your data and identities” as well as endpoints, and account access management.
To avoid data loss, Microsoft 365 users should use a backup
solution.
ASWi’s Managed IT Services can provide you with natively integrated cybersecurity, data protection, and end point management solutions that are highly efficient and designed to identify, prevent, detect, respond, remediate, and recover from modern cyberthreats with minimal downtime, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
Please let our Customer Success Manager Keith Wood know by emailing him at keithw@aswius.com or call him at (717) 581-1226 if you would like to learn how the ASWi Managed IT Services team can protect your Microsoft 365 data.
Excellence 101 | Insights

Survivor Bias
We only hear from people who succeed. Even if they reveal a failure, it’s because they’ve made it through. That’s Survivorship Bias. We think they represent the average when, in fact, it’s strongly skewed. And seeing so many others succeed, or seem to, can get disheartening.
Take comfort knowing that the average experience is not success. It’s struggle.
Tomatoes
When you eat a tomato from the supermarket it is tasteless, unremarkable, watery. When you eat a homegrown tomato, it is vibrant, sweet, juicy. It adds something to your day.
Guess which tomato most AI generated content reminds me of? It takes more effort to grow your own, but goodness, what a payoff! The future of work may be AI. Your future worth is not. If you want to differentiate yourself and create real and sustainable value, you need to grow it yourself.
Before and after, not after and before
Customers LOVE before and after pictures but too many businesses get it wrong for one important psychological reason. Using before and after imagery helps your customer understand the transformation that’s possible. They work because they signal the “now” state. The problem state.
And then help us imagine how life will be better once we’ve done what it is you’re suggesting. Life used to be like this, now it’s like this.
In cultures where we read left to right, we learn that left means the past, and right means the future. That means we always need to position past imagery (what
we want to move away from) on the left of our collateral, and progress markers (the promised new result) on the right.
Morning Motivations Recap
Nearly every weekday, a motivational quote is posted on X/Twitter by @ASWiDelivered and on LinkedIn by @ASWi.

• “Life is 10% what happens & 90% how you react to it.” Charles Swindoll
• “Leadership is 3/4 show-the-way and ~1/4 follow-up.” James E Faust
• “Knowing is not enough; we must apply.” Goethe
• “Well done is better than well said.” Ben Franklin
