“My heroes are those who risk their lives every day to protect our world and make it a better place.” Sidney Sheldon
Armed Forces Day pays tribute to the military personnel serving in the United States Armed Forces.
The United States Military is composed of more than 1.3 million active-duty service members in six branches, including the Army, Airforce, Space Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard that are stationed in the United States and around the world. An additional 800,000 reservists stand ready in the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard.
Some ways to observe Armed Forces Day includes volunteering for a veteran organization that supports those who are deployed, organizing care packages for service members or their families, recognizing a service member you know, learning more about the history of each branch of the military and how it has evolved, and discovering more about your family’s military history.
My grandfather was in the trenches in Italy in World War I, my father was in a tank battalion during the Korean War. Both served valiantly in the service of our country and, although it was only at the end of their respective lives that they could share their experiences, I am blessed to have learned at least a little bit about them.
Multiple system email accounts – by branch and by company
Independent of whether you have one company with no branches, one company with multiple branches, multiple companies with no branches or multiple companies with multiple branches configured within your Acumatica Cloud ERP instance, you have the ability to have multiple system email accounts.
How to configure multiple system email accounts.
Mailing defaults are set within the Customer Class so that the default sending email will be the one associated with the branch you are in.
The example below has 2 email accounts configured. When emails are sent from Products Wholesale, the system uses email 1. When emails are sent from Services East, the system uses email 2.
Example use cases of this capability
Within a Branch or Company
This capability allows for a Sales email account to be used for CRM-generated emails, a Support email account to be used for Case Management-generated emails, and an Accounting email account could be used for Receivables-generated emails.
Multiple Companies
This capability allows each company to send emails from an account that their customers will be familiar with.
Often, customers of a subsidiary or sister company will have no knowledge of the other entities that the company is associated with and the customers would be very confused if they received an email from the company’s parent company or sister company.
For more information on this capability and to schedule ASWi’s consulting team to configure multiple system email accounts within your Acumatica Cloud ERP instance, please let ASWi’s Customer Success Manager Keith Wood know at keithw@aswius.com
The Mekorma Vendor Validation addon works with Acumatica to enable you to validate any vendor in your Master File by integrating Tax Identification Number (TIN) matching, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) screens, and address validation into your payment process workflow.
Key Benefits
– Instantly know if a vendor is on the OFAC Sanctions List – Ensure a vendor’s TIN matches IRS records, avoiding B notices – Automatically hold payments when errors occur – Audit the Vendor Master File records for OFAC and IRS compliance – Address validation confirms that the addresses are correct
Key Features
• Maintain business integrity and screen vendors during onboarding or payment processing, ensuring legitimacy and accuracy. To avoid doing business with entities on the OFAC Sanctions List, Vendor Validation will hold payments for any vendor who has a match on the list.
• TIN matching against the IRS database streamlines tax season and guarantees TIN accuracy. If any errors are identified, withhold payments until the TIN is corrected or apply retainage to 1099 vendors, to avoid issues or delays.
• Payment process integration allows you to establish validation rules to payments. After a designated period of time, the system will automatically validate a vendor before the next payment goes through.
In the event of any issues, payments will be held.
• Save audit records to show that your staff took reasonable action to avoid processing payments for OFAC-listed entities and that TIN matching issues were identified, and attempts were made to correct any problems.

Have you ever observed your self-talk after you lose a sale?
Mine used to go something like this: “Darn it! I am bad at this!” “This product will never sell!” “The leads are trash, and I actually agree with some of my prospect’s objections!” “I wonder what I can sell that’s easier than this?” “Should I go back to school?”
And on and on. . .
While managers want you to jump on the next call, go from your last negative experience and be positive again and “smile and dial,” you know how hard that is.
Here’s the solution: Rather than try to go from negative to positive (very hard to do), it’s better to go from negative to neutral first and then on to positive.
Here’s how: When you lose a sale or suffer a difficult call (could be a prospecting call), if you hang up and find your attitude is a bit negative, simply say to yourself: “Okay. That’s okay.” And then leave it at that. Accept it. It is what it is, and you can’t change it. Just accept it and get back to neutral.
Then ask yourself what went wrong? Dissect it. What did you do wrong? Identify it.
Once you have, then get positive and identify what you’re going to change next time. What are you going to say or not say next time? How are you going to keep from talking past the close? (Maybe use, “Oh?” or actually get back to the script?).
By identifying what you did wrong, finding a way to do better next time, and then use the more positive approach, you can go from negative to neutral to positive and make your next call, and your next day and week, better.
And that’s what you want to do, isn’t it?
Try it next time you find yourself negative.
